Hariri Congratulates Ouattara
This might sound like a normal protocole call from one leader to another, but why didn’t President Sleiman make that call? Don’t underestimate the amount of internal Lebanese politics involved in this. Mr. Hariri had made it a point a few days ago to call the decision (made by Mr. Berri) to send the Lebanese Ambassador in Ivory coast to Gbagbo’s sham swearing in “reckless”. The call to Ouattara drives that point home..
