Egypt’s “Founding Fathers”

According to David Ignatius, they are Amr Moussa, Mohammad Elbaradei and Najib Sawiris. To put things in perspective, the three campaigned hard in the recent referendum for a “No” vote, only to lose to an overwhelming “Yes” vote of 77%.
I don’t doubt their credentials as fine men, but one would assume that founding fathers must have at least some popular legitimacy, or else the only foundation they’d be laying is one of elitist rule..
