when there is no government, there is no one on whom to exert pressure, there is no one from whom to “demand a price,” and there is no way to promote its political interests.
This is Hezbollah’s quandary. It finds itself powerless to influence politics without someone to bully. They also can’t put pressure on Aoun because he’s their ally and they can’t threaten him with “black shirts”.
