Today Al-Akhbar leads with a story entitled: “The Start of The Unknown”. Calling future disturbances “the unknown” is very disingenuous from the side that intends on causing havoc in the next few weeks.

In the end, it doesn’t really matter who killed the fabled Saudi-Syrian initiative. Fingers will be pointing here and there, but we should remember that the initiative was doomed from the onset.

People are now sabotaging billboards with pictures of their ruler , an act that was unthinkable just a few weeks ago. One observer says that the scenes are reminiscent of the fall of Saddam Hussein.

A Middle East edition of the magazine will launch in March. It will be interesting to see how they will transfer their “all sex tips all the time” formula to the region. But my guess is that it will tank in Lebanon as Lebanese ladies will keep reading the original imported edition.
