The Lebanese have constantly joked that roads in Beirut are so full of cars you can’t fit any new ones in. Anecdotal evidence abound of malls with huge parking lots where one can’t find a single spot to park. So imagine my first thought when I read this report of Lebanon’s severe drop of car imports in 2011:

Is that a good name? The ladies have been spreading their calls to action using the red stuff in Lebanese public bathrooms and proudly posting pictures of them on Facebook (there’s a palpable sense of excitement about Saturday’s demo). Plus let’s face it, the media needs a cheesy name to run with and get sensational headlines and pageviews. Shu? We make it official?
