Are the Katyushas (which have now reached 12) a sign of despair or a sign of confidence from Fateh Al Islam?Syria warned its citizens of staying in Lebanon after July 15th, citing “turbulence”. Remember, that’s two days from now. They are also supplying katyushas by the truckload to fateh Al Islam. The question remains: What is taking the army so long to finish off the terrorists? Why is it so difficult to take drastic measures?

This just in. According to LBC, 5 Katiosha rockets have hit areas in Akkar, north Lebanon. These come one day after the Brammertz report warned of an upcoming political instability that could hinder the work of the investigation.Katioshas are the weapons of choice of Hezbollah against Israel. It is likely that those who fired them either want to further complicate the Sunni Shiaa relationship, or are Hezbollah themselves for unknown reasons. Most soldiers dying while fighting fateh al Islam are from Akkar.

Apparently the evacuation of 15,000 Lebanese-Canadians during last war is causing a divisive debate in Canada about whether or not Canadian tax-payers should pay for the evacuation of Lebanese who live in Lebanon but hold Canadian passports.
