I’ve said pretty much the same thing last year, but it’s nice to know that this is now in the mainstream media. My prediction: By the time my 3-year-old son is an adult, English will be clearly dominant and French, like Armenian and Portuguese will be a niche language in Lebanon. (Thx Beirut Drive By)

I’ve seen many hacks against Lebanese websites, but this is the first one that is not driven by politics or religion. I’ll go out on a limb and call this the Charbel Nahhas hack..

This caricature has landed famous Lebanese cartoonist Pierre Sadek in hot waters (Arabic) with “the people of the resistance”. I’m looking at it and I honestly can’t see why anyone would be offended by it. Unless the very portrayal of a man of religion is forbidden, but last time I check such reverence was reserved for the Prophet only..
