No Beirut

Here’s a resolution for Beirut Spring in 2012: I will not mention, criticize or link in any way to an article that promotes tourism in Beirut.

I love our capital city and I think it’s wonderful place (heck I even put its name in my blog’s title), but I’m with Elie and Brooke: Lebanon has far more to offer than Beirut despite what the publicity agencies of 5-star Beirut hotels want you to think.

Here’s how it’s going to work: Every time I see online buzz about a Beirut article in the foreign press (and by “buzz” I even mean criticism of that article in blogs), I will ignore that article and try instead to mention/highlight a place or a news story about a place that is equally awesome. Did I ever tell you how cool The Cedars are ?
