Just in Case You’re Wondering

I’m having a great time in Tunisia. The country itself is beautiful and I can really feel the buzz of democracy as the election campaign kicks off. I’ll try to post pictures at some point before I leave.

The people in the Arab Bloggers Meeting are fascinating. I’m not used to be surrounded by so many smart, intriguing and intellect-challenging people, all talking about things that matter to me.

The only snag was that the Tunisian government refused to grant Palestinian bloggers an entry visa. If you think of it, this is embarrassing on a profound level: A post-Arab Spring bloggers forum where Palestinians were denied entry to the country that started it all.

It’s like fate itself is stacked against the Palestinians.
