Why the “Hush Hush” Meeting ?

There could be two reasons why Prime Minister Mikati resorted to a low-profile meeting with a delegation from the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)
- He is doing it behind the back of his government partners because he (and Mr. Jumblat) are the only ones who support funding the STL
- He is doing it with secret consent from his partners who want to keep a pragmatic working relationship with the STL despite their flaming rhetoric against it
My money is on the first option. But I don’t understand what the PM is trying to achieve. Something will have to give eventually..
