Nabil Nicolas Wants The Government To Sue Time Magazine

August 20, 2011 · Mustapha Hamoui

As predicted, the Time magazine interview with one of the accused in killing Hariri created a political storm in Lebanon.

While PM Mikati and the Interior minister were busy getting all technical about “investigating” the issue, the prize for the most colorful response goes to the party now in charge of whitewashing Hezbollah’s actions:

All what was published in TIME aims to accuse the Lebanese cabinet of “not being able to arrest the [four] suspects” in the Rafik Hariri murder, [Nabil] Nicolas told NBN television.
The Lebanese cabinet should file a lawsuit against TIME, he also said

In case you didn’t get it, he meant that Time itself was part of the international anti-Hezbollah conspiracy.

Nicolas is a clown, so I’m not going to give his statement much weight. What’s really worrying me is that PM Mikati appears to live in a made-up world in which Sayyed Nasrallah doesn’t exist. The man expressly said that he won’t give up the suspects, but the PM pretends that this is all about more “investigations”.

Arresting the suspects is a political decision. Be a man Mr. Mikati. Announce that you are going to pick up the phone and call Sayyed Nasrallah asking him to deliver the accused. Let us know that you’re really trying..
