Ziad Baroud To Supervise Next Elections… In Tunisia

August 4, 2011 · Mustapha Hamoui

Tunisian blogger Malek Quotes Lebanon’s L’Hebdo Magazine (My translation):

Tunisian authorities who took charge of the country after the fall of Ben Ali’s regime, have assigned Lebanon’s ex-Minister of Interior, Ziad Baroud, (who’s presently in Tunisia) to supervise the upcoming legislative elections. [..] Baroud, who will be accompanied by a Lebanese team, will supervise the Tunisian legislative elections in the presence of international observers in an arrangement that is similar to the one that took place in the last Lebanese elections.

My Tunisian friends have been asking me on Twitter if he’s a good person. They should rest assured: They’re in safe hands..
