“If I Go To Banias, it would be to Donate Blood”
April 24, 2011 · Mustapha Hamoui
If you still have any doubts that the Syrian media is lying about the involvement of the Future Movement in its unrest, all you have to do is to check out this ridiculous report that Lebanese MP Oqab Sakr was arrested in Banias.
Mr. Sakr responded to those fabrications from Beirut:
“We [decided] to not interfere in Syrian domestic affairs, but unfortunately [they] involved us. Enough lies! […] If I [go] to Banias, it would be to [donate] blood to those who fell there.”
It is shameful that some Lebanese news outlets are slavishly peddling the unfounded claims of the desperate Syrian Regime. Those reports are not even meant for a Lebanese audiences (after all, MPs Jamal Jarrah and Oqab Sakr will make their TV appearances and prove that they’re not in custody in Syria), they are meant for the Syrians who don’t know their Oqab Sakrs from their Gebran Bassils..
