“Pillar Of Resistance”

Buthayna Shaaban explains why Syria is “targeted”:

Presidential adviser Buthaina Shaaban said that 10 people were killed on Wednesday in what she called an attempt to target Syria because it supports resistance against Israel. “What is being targeted is Syria’s position, Syria’s security and ability to be a pillar of resistance against Zionism and US schemes,” she said.

For the record, in the last 20 years, not a single act of “resistance” against Israel was initiated in Syria. In fact Syria has chosen the cowardly path of resisting with Lebanese blood, which allowed it to own the achievements without paying for the consequences.

Shaaban is laughingly trying to give the illusion that the world is against the Syrian regime because it’s an enemy of Israel, whereas we all know that Israel (and America) would dread the fall of the Assad regime and are simply after “behavioral change”. This situation allowed the Assad regime to sell the promise of behavioral change again and again to the west to no avail..
