You Have To Earn The Right To Criticize The Butros Harb Law

There are many people who are against this draft law but support the indefinite extension of the Tai’f Accord’s “troika system” that splits political power between Sunnites, Shiites, and Maronites.[2] They are against the law, but not the logic that engenders it. Harb’s draft law is a symptom, not the disease.
While I agree with her point, I think we should also submit that some people accept the logic of the troika begrudgingly, but find the Harb law so disturbing that they decided to draw a line in the sand.
