A Possible Reason Why Hezbollah Is Losing Its Cool

According the the Jerusalem Post (which in turn cites “israeli intelligence”), Iran has cut Hezbollah’s funding by 40% because of international sanctions. This has supposedly created tension between Hezbollah and some members of the Iranian hierarchy..

I’m not sure I buy the idea that sanctions caused these budget cuts. If you have an existing channel of delivering money to Hezbollah, you can use it for whichever amount you want. I think a better explanation would be political and economic pressure from inside Iran (ok fine, you can argue that economic pressure was the result of sanctions ).
