“a significant drop in the rates of road accidents”
December 13, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui
More figures emerge from the ISF on the effect of speed radars:
An ISF report released over the weekend noted that road accidents decreased by 10 percent in October and November, with the rates of deaths down by 43 percent and injuries down by 12.5 percent.
My criticism of the previously released figures stand: You need more time to come up with representative and indicative statistics. The figures released by the ISF are purely for PR and political purposes. They are meant to counter the wave of popular anger at the radars and the fines.
I mean, who can argue with “43% less road deaths?”
