Not an “Alliance”, an “Understanding”

In an interview with french TV, M.P. Aoun has highlighted the FPM’s “pragmatic” approach to the Tribunal. What I found interesting though is how he described the FPM’s relationship with Hezbollah:
What brings us together with Hezbollah is more of an understanding than an alliance. This understanding [led] to stability in Lebanon, where there are many [issues] that can lead to sedition.
Sounds like he’s trying to justify why he took a bitter pill..
