I was interested in an article in the American Spectator entitled “Persian Ambitions vs. Syrian Interests”. But my interest was immediately killed when the author, George H. Wittman, referred to the Syrian president as “Bashir El Assad”.
Talk about a bad grasp of details. If you don’t know the name of the President of a country, how can you credibly make a serious geopolitical argument about that country?
