Israel Wants To “Prevent” Ahmadinejad From Coming To Lebanon

October 4, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui

The Israelis got chutzpah:

Over the past week, Israel has sent messages to Prime Minister Saad Hariri and President Michel Sleiman through UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the US and French governments, warning that [Ahamdinejad’s ] visit should be canceled as it would undermine regional stability and the Middle East peace talks

It’s one thing to prevent a flotilla from going to Gaza, but another thing altogether to prevent the Leader of a sovereign country from visiting another country. Besides, one can argue that even if Messrs. Hariri and Suleiman want to cancel Ahamdinejad’s visit, they won’t be able to.
