“focus the fight on Hezbollah as an institution, not as a community”

Hanin Ghaddar — a March 14 Shiaa — cautions against turning a fight between institutions into a Sunni-Shiaa affair. Her own personal sense of foreboding is obvious in her piece:

…whether driven by fear or revenge, sectarianism will be at the root of any street fighting. There will be no place for logic or dialogue. The Shia community will be part of an ugly game of revenge, while the secular and independent among them will find themselves victims of a conflict that has been imposed on them.
