American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:
“We are seeking to determine what direction we can head in order to pursue peace between Israel and Syria, and Israel and Lebanon,”
Of course she could have said “peace between Israel and its neighbors”, but she pointedly made a separation between peace with Lebanon and peace with Syria.
