The girls didn’t see this coming:
There are cases that many female workers promised to have a job as domestic workers actually end up as sex workers in Lebanon. They are forced to work as sex slaves there.
The problem is not that they become sex workers, the problem is that they can’t get out. There is no mechanism for them to complain and to get out of the grips of their “sponsors”. No wonder they keep throwing themselves off balconies. (via)
