Lebanese Artists Are Yet To Support Fairouz In Her Lawsuit.

July 25, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui

Good observation from Beirut Night Life:

None of the Lebanese singers such as Haifa Wehbe, Elissa, Miriam Fares, Nancy Ajram, Najwa Karam, Rola Saad, Ragheb Alama,Wael Kfoury, Walid Tawfiq, and others have reacted to the court order preventing the Lebanese symbol, idol and mega superstar Fairouz from singing

I think it’s because unlike lay people, they understand that music is a business and that it’s not easy to mess with copy rights. But I think they could join the cause if they felt that they will get some popularity out of it.

If you haven’t read about the Fairouz lawsuit, check my post about it and the very informative comments following it.
