Nayla Tweini On Palestinian Rights

June 28, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui

Her arguments boil down to:

1- The Palestinians are not treated well in any other Arab country, but they’re “daring” to protest only in Lebanon because we’re a free and weak country.

2- The Palestinians in Lebanese camps have not proven goodwill towards the Lebanese because they let extreme elements flourish in their midst.

3- The Palestinian authority is dumping the problem on Lebanon instead of assuming the responsibility of its people.

Nayla is making the same mistake that she likes to criticize westerners of doing: She’s judging the entire Palestinian population from the acts of a few, the same way all the Lebanese are all judged by the acts of Hezbollah.

Nayla, there is NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER for the inhumane treatment of the weakest elements in any society.

I expected better from you.
