“Do The Right Thing” On Palestinian Rights

Today’s Daily Star editorial simultaneously urges the Lebanese to make life easier for the Palestinians and blames the outside world for their misery.
In Lebanese punditry, the local culprit is never “Lebanese cruelty”, it’s either the faceless “sectarian politics” or the equally faceless “outside world”.
