Changes at Beirut Spring

June 2, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui

How will The Beirut Spring change? Let me count the ways: More recommendations, more links, less dissertations.

As you probably noticed by now, this blog has been on a hiatus for a while. I’ve mentioned the reasons before, but it’s a combination of personal life, back-to-normal Lebanese politics and Twitter (What? You haven’t followed me yet? Do it right now!)

Every now and then, I have something to say, an elaborate point to make. But in the mean time, this blog remains idle. How can this be fixed? I always have rants to let out, links to share, recommendations to make, but most of the time, Twitter is more than enough for that.

But there are times when I want more discussions of a simple Idea. Sometimes I want to share (and give my opinion of ) a great paragraph I read somewhere, or post a cool picture/cartoon I found. This is when I realized that beirutspring.com is the ideal place for that.

I will still post opinion pieces every now and then, but as of now, the nature of this blog has changed. I hope The Beirut Spring will be more useful to you and to itself this way.
