What Arabs Think

This new BBC poll reported by Kim Ghattas — the erstwhile Lebanese correspondent for the BBC in Beirut — offers a view of the complex nature of attitudes in the Arab world.

Here’s a paradox: Apparently, 8 out 10 Arabs don’t like America, most Arabs don’t see Iran as a threat, the most popular leaders are Nassrallah, Assad and Ahmedinejad respectively. Yet in spite of all that, just 30% of Arabs sympathize with the Lebanese opposition which is led by Mr. popular.
