Nassrallah’s Double Talk

May 7, 2007 · Mustapha Hamoui

Am I the only one who finds those two statements, almost in the same breath by Hassan Nassrallah, contradictory?

1- Frankly, we do not wait for anybody’s permission, before defending Lebanon
2-We believe that resorting to the people to get out of any problem is a very natural option

I say we be consistent. You either resort to the people all the time, or you behave as you please without waiting for anyone’s permission.

Speaking of permissions: The UN will not wait for anybody’s permission to start a chapter 7 resolution. I guess he’ll just have to live with it.
