The UNDP’s Human Development Index says that the living standards in Lebanon have improved from 2005 to 2006. Are they serious?
Last time I checked, the Israel-Hezbollah summer war killed hundreds of Lebanese, polluted our sea and its livestock, destroyed our bridges and schools, caused radiations in various parts of the country and ruined our finances for the foreseeable future. Didn’t that happen in 2006?
Does anyone really care if we are the 7th best country in the world in baby malnutrition? No wonder some of the smartest men in the world are asking the UN to shape up.
