Relax. I’m talking about yesterday’s basketball game where the Syrian team withdrew because of the insults the Lebanese audience was hurling. Embarrassing.
Welcome to Beirut Spring’s new look (If you’re reading this from a feed reader, ignore this post).
I decided to be very ruthless with the items on the blog, trying to keep everything to the essential minimum. Many people had complained about the bugginess and slowness of the previous website, and they’re right. There was a lot of loose ends, dead links, news feeds from websites you probably visit every day and things no one uses anymore (does anyone “reddit” posts anymore?).
So I decided to focus on what I do best (I hope): blogging! It might take you a while to get used to the new look, but I really hope it will be easier on your eyes and your minds for a better experience in the future. Thanks for being such great readers.
I wonder if the wedding included “joyful” shooting in the air
The wedding ceremony was the first of its kind organized by Hamas in Lebanon and it had a charitable aim as well as a festive goal. Couples were chosen because they had limited resources and each one was presented with money and furniture donations after the ceremony. The event included traditional Palestinian dances and songs, in addition to fireworks to best express the joy of the gathered.
20 year old mentally imbalanced man tries to “hitch a ride” by running behind an airplane. He gets stuck to the plane’s wheels and dies from high pressure in the air (he tried to close his ears using cigarette butts) only for his body to be found in the destination country (Saudi Arabia).

I wonder what there’s more of: Letters in the long-winded requests to boycott Tiesto, or people who actually showed up at their concert. (Tempted to say I told you so)
