I’m having a great time in Tunisia. The country itself is beautiful and I can really feel the buzz of democracy as the election campaign kicks off. I’ll try to post pictures at some point before I leave.
The people in the Arab Bloggers Meeting are fascinating. I’m not used to be surrounded by so many smart, intriguing and intellect-challenging people, all talking about things that matter to me.
The only snag was that the Tunisian government refused to grant Palestinian bloggers an entry visa. If you think of it, this is embarrassing on a profound level: A post-Arab Spring bloggers forum where Palestinians were denied entry to the country that started it all.
It’s like fate itself is stacked against the Palestinians.

shocking!!
So we’re not challenging enough for you ya Mus? Meshi LOL
“I’m not used to be surrounded by so many smart, intriguing and intellect-challenging people”, are you implying something buster?
He means physically surrounded.
right? RIGHT?!
I think he meant physically surrounded.
Right? RIGHT?!
Here is a link to an article in Spiegel Online (Spon) about the conference (it may be translated later into English) http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/0,1518,789712,00.html
Oh really!!!!!!!!!
But seriously what a shocker regarding the palestinian bloggers I read it in the paper, quite preposterous!
Of course I mean “physically”. You guys are the smartest and most interesting people I know (let’s see if that gets me off the hook..)
Do you have Saudi bloggers talking about the Saudi protests in the past few days? It would be interesting to learn their point of view since all the media claims everyone is happy in KSA
