Google’s Political Activism

Google Maps changed Gaddafi’s “Green Square” into “Martyrs Square” which is the new name the rebels gave it. We are cheering, of course, since Gaddafi is now fair play to everyone and Google got cheap publicity points.
But where do we draw the line? For example, a few days ago, hundreds of Egyptians marched on Cairo’s Israeli embassy and tore down the Israeli flag, vowing never to allow another ambassador from that country to step foot in the city. Will Google remove the entry of “Embassy of Israel” in Google Maps’ Cairo?
