  1. In what way…in the sense that the US is going to start isolating financial institutions in Lebanon now that Hezbollah has a greater, “official” role in government? The way I see it is that if the US decides to push in this direction any financial institution in Lebanon would be fair game for isolation/OFAC blacklisting as it would nearly impossible for a financial institution in Lebanon to not have some sort of dealings with an organization the US deems a threat. If it happens this way I fear for the possible outcome and fallout.

  2. Let me see if I understand this. A Lebanese businessman sends $ to the USA to buy merchandise which is then shipped to another country and sold at a profit then he transfers the money back to Lebanon where he lives and banks. He does this again and again. Every Lebanese know someone in “import/export”. The Port of Beirut is one of the busiest in the region and the Banks are booming. It’s like shooting fish in a bucket! We’re doomed!
