Mr. Aoun’s announcement was confirmed by a special post on Al-Akhbar‘s website entitled “The failure of the settlement” which claims that the Saudis admitted to a failure in persuading P.M. Hariri.
A new phase has just begun.

The Daily Star has a “breaking news” story. “The source said ministers loyal to the March 8 coalition would withdraw from the Cabinet if it fails to meet and halt its cooperation with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, decides on the withdrawal of Lebanese judges and end Lebanon’s funding of the court.” I have often seen rumors on the internet with January 15th given as the date the STL will release the inditement. I wonder if this date has now been leaked and confirmed and that fact is behind the sudden sense of urgency and crisis. Good luck Lebanon.
As usual, the cowards with something to hide fear that the cloak will be removed and their real faces exposed. True believers do not hide behind their womens veils. Let the trials make the accusations and the results will either exhonorate you or provide the facts that there was assistance from some quarter that assasinated a great leader and patriot of Lebanon.
