Nour will take one picture every day of her Iftar table, which is a great simple idea.
The result is a collection of iftar pictures in a typical Tripoli household. The food is naturally different from and much better than the stuff you get in restaurants in Beirut. (But seriously Nour, fish??)

Thats a great idea. I’m inspired to do the same for my friends here in Canada next year when I’m in good old Tripoli.
Mariam just don’t do it, that’s torture
hehe, thanks! about the fish, it’s not my favorite but hey, when you’re hungry you’ll eat anything!
What’s wrong with the Fish? I love fish! Great photos Nour..loved the post,,I’m hhhhhungrrryy!
Mariam,
I’m really interested in this idea. You, me and Nour can create a flickr stream called “Daily Home Iftars In Tripoli”. It would be a lot of fun! Maybe we can find people to do it from Beirut and other cities too!
Nour & Danielle, fish is my favorite food! But not in ramadan after a long day’s fast
(speaking of fish, I’m craving sushi in this very instant)
Mustapha: That would be rather awesome though I think we could potentially add a whole thing about Tripoli and Ramadan- I know that We Love Tripoli is doing those Ramadaniyat events – could give a more positive light on our city which I feel is much needed. I love that Nour lives in Tripoli too I feel like most Lebanese blogging in Lebanon are in Beirut so its nice to see a Tripoli based blog
That sounds like a great idea, Mustapha! I especially love Tripoli during Ramadan. And speaking of the We Love Tripoli Group, I just came back from a brilliant “shoot as you walk” outing with them, we took a lot of great pictures and I’m going to post mine on my blog soon… Tripoli needs more credit!
