Aljazeera Sports Will Take Legal Action Against Many Lebanese Restaurants And Bars

If you want to broadcast worldcup games in your outfit, you have to pay up:

125 establishments have received warnings from Al-Jazeera Sports, which sent representatives around Lebanon to ascertain who was legally showing the matches. The violators presumably hooked up with unregulated satellite distributors, which took advantage of Al-Jazeera’s deal with the Lebanese government to ensure free home viewing.

And thus Aljazeera starts Pay TV’s war on illegal Lebanese satellite providers.
