The leader of Hezbollah is learning the wrong lesson from the conflict in the Caucuses.
Yesterday, in a televised speech, the leader of Hezbollah put the blame for Georgia’s “defeat” on Gal Hirsch, an Israeli military man “who was defeated in Lebanon [then] went to Georgia [as a military consultant]“.
Perhaps Mr. Nasrallah is right and the Georgian setback was due in fact to an incompetent foreign adviser. But the taunting Mr. Nasrallah is engaged in against Israel reminds us of his 2006 provocation which caused heavy destruction in Lebanon (which, if one is to take Mr. Nassrallah’s standards on Georgia, amounts to a Lebanese defeat)
The taunting and provocation has put Mr. Nasrallah on the same footing with another character in the Caucuses, namely with the Georgian president Michael Saakashvili, an adventurist halfwit who thought he could get away with poking a neighboring foe with the ability to destroy his entire country.
That, Mr. Nasrallah, should be our lesson from Georgia.

RebLeb, it’s only typical of Lebanese people to do that. I’m sure Mustapha online intended to focus on the sound (rather than the meaning) of “an adventurist halfwit”. It probably sounded poetic and insulting enough to use, regardless of accuracy.
You have to know and accept these things about Lebanese people. Especially biased ones.
Well Mus., look at it this way, hezbollah kidnaped the 2 soldiers to got our prisoners back and he achieved his goal imposing our demandes on the enemy while south ositia coming back to georgian rule(georgian goal) seems more difficult then ever, not to say impossible

I wanted to use the word “fool”, but I thought it would be too harsh on my hezbollah-worshiping readers. So I looked up synonyms for “fool” and the most appropriately insulting word i found was “halfwit”
Still, rebleb, even if Mr. Saakashvili was intelligent and well educated, that doesn’t make him less of a fool for taunting the bear.

Nasrallah knows he’s a prime target on the israeli hit list and is using any excuse and example he can to “shove it down their throat!” as a way to get back at them. It’s all absurd and is worthy of his empty and senseless rethoric that we should all be used to by now. As for the Georgian president, halfwit is probably very appropriate given his naivete when it came to relying on those western powers to protect his butt. Russia got the last laugh on this one. Although we are as much “halfwits” for believing the same thing:-)

Actually, Saakashvilli is looking more like a minor minion who was misreading the signals he was getting from Washington, which, by the way is not a very enviable thing to be–a half-wit trying to figure out the messages that a sh*twit was sending him. And I’d like to add, this definitely does not excuse Czar Putin from resurrecting Greater Russian chauvinism and imperialism. In fact both sides have been acting in a way that’s a little too reminiscent of the old Cold War, and that makes me very nervous. You may, of course, draw whatever analogies from this situation that you want and apply them to Lebanon (HINT: a little moron trying to decipher what a big moron is telling him to do)

Despite everything you say you can never say that Hariri attacked his own people and killed Lebanese children with his guns. This is what Nasrallah did this May, he has the blood of Lebanese children and innocent civilians on his hands that will never be cleaned off.
So however low you think Saad Hariri is, Nasrallah always be lower.

If Hezbo were entirley gone – what would life be like ?
Would you have more societal harmony ?
Would Israel become a freind?
Would Syria treat you like a peer rather than a pawn?
Would you enjoy more Arab, EU, and US support?

Andrew, why you relate the issue of resistance with the internal problem that we are facing with the state of Hezbollah?

Just for your information, there are hundreds of ways we can use the strength of Hezbollah in the army without,us and the state of Lebanon, being controlled by Hezbollah.
So, stop just mimicking what Hassouna is saying without knowing where they are going with those statements. After the withdrawal of the Syrian invasion forces from Lebanon, Hezbo has a plan to be the replacement controlling forces in Lebanon. So, again stop being a fool in relating strength to the control of Lebanon.
