is it time for the u.s. to talk to syria? is it time for mustapha to comment on something he knows anything about? do the bits of info released to us common folk about the u.s. talking to syria all together amount to just a morcel of the whole truth? does mustpha know something that the rest of us don’t know? is it time for the u.s. to come out with something new? is it time for the u.s. to come out with something old? does the u.s. have a plan? does mustapha really know anything for sure? do any of us? is this all a guessing game? do we take ourselves a bit too seriously? do we actually belive our voices are heard? does mustapha want to placate his readers with perceived certainty? is mustapha certain about his own uncertainty? does he want to placate his own uncertainty with perceived certainty? these questions and more will be answered on the next episode of soap.
Rusted cow,
Stop being an ass and try to be human. If you are incapable of intelligent comments go die…ooops sleep.
People like you made Lebanon what it is…The funny part is ALL of you; USA haters; either live there or another western country and are collecting welfare…Shut the f up. We’ve had enough of you dum jackasses loitering around. Get a job!!
Danny,
what exactly is intelligent about YOUR comment? At least my comment makes a point, even if it be in the form of a question. (I KNOW a smart guy like you who has been properly taught all of his colors has watched Jeopardy before, right?) See, there’s another question right there! and it wasn’t meant to be snide, it was meant to make a point.
SO getting back to my first comment and the subject matter of the post, which are very very very very much related, (oh, and i DID read the Street Wall Journal opinion piece by the esteemed senators John Kerry and Chuck Hagel that mustapha so galantly pointed us towards, did you?) basically my point in my first comment was that you don’t know, i don’t know, you don’t know you don’t know, whereas i (maybe) know i don’t know, mustapha don’t know, he knows that he knows that he don’t know, but he don’t know that he knows that he don’t know, ultimately speaking.
Why are you so incensed? because i do not say what you like? what about freedom of opinion? you dont like it when you dont like it? you dont like freedom of opinion when you dont like the opinion? you only like freedom of opinion when you the opinion? lamma el-ma7ak bi di2 bil jrar byotla3 el-7attab 3al birj ma3 el-3anzi? isn’t that what the famous proverb says about that? (I think that’s how it goes.) don’t you like that i have freedom of opinion? danny? danny boy? did you see the blue-on-blue speech balloon graphic design in the upper right of this blog? about freedom of speech? (oops! it’s gone! i should watch what i say!)
ass.. 2al ass… why calling me an ass… do you mean donkey-type animal or backside of buttocks? why you say i am not human? you say to me try to be human? you are not god. you do not decide who is created human. danny. you see? what is to decide what is intelligent comments? perfect grammar and punctuation? march forward 14 opinion? nice and polite language? which one? at least my mother taught me not to curse bad words at fellow visiting commentators. collecting welfare 2al! HA! I will have you know that I have not collected welfare in 5 months! No seriously, I will have you know that I have not collected welfare in 21 years. (3an jad.) And you say shut the f up? what does f stand for? do you have anyone in your whose name starts with f.
danny, you have to be smart with your comments. i do not want to tell, yo, but you have to tell you. you.
in the meantime, senators kerry and hagel do not adequately assess the rising value of mitigating political circumstances in light of perceived (there’s that word again!) military report findings popularly believed to be the main reasons why everything has hit a brick wall.
I must’ve hit a nerve. MOU heyk??? You crack me up. I will not lower myself to plagiarise like you. Write your own thoughts or be smart enough to quote!!
I must’ve hit a nerve. MOU heyk??? You crack me up. I will not lower myself to plagiarize like you. Write your own thoughts or be smart enough to quote!!
sniff sniff.
yes you did.
hit a nerve.
what did i.
plagiarize?
Silver b,
Exactly how is linking to an article “commenting” on it?
I don’t mind criticism, but apriori hostility just makes you sound silly..
you’re right, mustapha, you did not comment on it this time. but criticism that you do not like is not hostility.
judging by Danny boy’s first comment, he suffers from visa envy
who are you people?
court foul, who are you?
These are the electronic version of brown shirts believing in themselves as the Elite and trying to poke a stick at everything, in cooperation with the goons on the streets threatening civilians with guns.
It bothers me, how they believe that they are God sent. The person who goes under the alias of silver Buffalo (one of his names) cannot get any lamer. Yawnnn.
who let the trolls out?
Don’t worry courtfool, rollen,
They’re all one person (same IP) who’s pretending that many people think like him. pathetic.
Rusted Cow, lame ducky or whatever,
That’s pathetic!! Get a life!
mustapha, you had to check the IP to figure out that silver buffalo, turquoise duck, blue goose and green toad are the same person? why? why? by the way to call someone pathetic is definitely an example of hostility (regarding your earlier comment.)
The article makes sense considering the current circumstances . Syria is revisiting the Golan heights issue with Israel . The Israelis have always been reluctant to relinquish their hold over this highly sensitive asset . The Syrian regime knows that Israel does not give a hoot about normalizing its relations with Syria as long as the situation remains quiet on the Israeli /Syrian borders . No single shot has been heard thus far since the 1974 disengagement agreement . Israel and Syria are just maneuvering . Syria is doing it to show the west that it has good intentions and to re-open the channels of communication with the US administration ( Kerry and Hagel are in fact urging the US administration to do so ) Israel is negotiating with Syria to prove in its own manner that it is open to peace but the Syrians are responsible for the impasse …
so sannine, why does israel want to “prove in its own manner that it is open to peace”? why does israel give a fart about that?
The idea of all the Democratic willingness to talk to Syria should be alarming to Lebanese in the U.S.
Some effort should be put to draw the red lines as to what these talks could lead to. I’m sure the American Jews are doing the same.
There needs to be added pressure from our side to isolate Syria from Iran/Hezbollah as a main goal in any talks. The Lebanese sovereignty, and the tribunal should also be red lines that America should not bargain with.
it is naive, my simian cousin, to assume that lebanese in the u.s. will actually have any effect on u.s. plans. just because your ideas coincide with the purported propagated ideas of the u.s. government, does not mean that you know what their plans are. anyway, you can try, in order to make yourself feel good. but be careful, or rather: take notice, that you may become a tool.
Kerry and Hagel are just two senators on their way out, they both are trying to choc and amaze. Kerry is a certified looser and Hagel is retiring next year from political life, what they said is of no importance to present or future American foreign policy. If you are mentioning Kerry and Hagel to make a point that the Americans are trying to bargain something with Syria, I think you are mistaken.
The Bush administration, has been, is, and will still be clear about talking to Syria-Iran. No talking with them MFers.
The after Bush seems to be clear too:
From one side you have Mc Cain who is certainly not talking to Syria unless to bargain unconditional surrendering, and from the other you have Obama who wants the troops out of Iraq and therefore no need to talk to Syria, or at least no benefit will come from talking to Syria.
Kerry and Hagel can say whatever they want; the picture is quite clear concerning US-Syrian talks.
What I think you should point out Mustapha is what the French and Arabs are trying to bargain with Syria, and that my friend, is the most alarming news…
