Bush reaffirmed Washington’s support for Prime Minister Fuad Siniora amid deadly violence pitting mainly Sunni supporters of the government and militants loyal to the Shiite Hezbollah-led opposition.

“I strongly condemn Hezbollah’s recent efforts, and those of their foreign sponsors in Tehran and Damascus, to use violence and intimidation to bend the government and people of Lebanon to their will,” Bush said in a statement.

“The international community will not allow the Iranian and Syrian regimes, via their proxies, to return Lebanon to foreign domination and control,” he said.

Bush said Washington would help Siniora by strengthening his armed forces.

“It’s probably the most practical way that we can get some help to him quickly,” he told Al Arabiya television, according to a transcript of the interview.

“They’re not great yet, but they’re pretty good. And we want to make them better so that they can respond.”

This whole discussion has some problems.
Somebody is telling you what colour of hair you should have and this is just the start. Numerous Palestinian, the people of some nobel Arab-Muslim families in Jerusalem, Al Hussainy for example, often have red hair. Some good Muslims in Palestine dye their beard red with Henna, what about them? Some women all over the ME dye their hair red with henna, what about them. Numerous Palestinians just south of the Leb. border have red hair are they realy Europen or God forbid Jews, what should be done to them or with them?.
As for Israel. Some facts. In 1948 Leb. invaded Israel, perhaps for good reasons, got beaten and for 20 years or so left Israel alone. Economically, eductionally, culturally ect. looking back these were relatively speaking good years. About 30 years ago or so somebody decided that Lebanon because it has more oil, more water, more flat arable land, more people, better ports, more mineral resources than any and every other Arab country or even any Muslim country should become the sharp edge of the sword of the Arabs and Islam against Israel and indeed Israel was beaten to the ground and Lebanon is flourishing. It worked so well that lately some people, who surprizingly have USA papers and their families live in the USA, have decided that next to Iraq, Somali and Afganistan it is the duty of Leb. also to lead the world in fighting the USA. Only on the way Leb. is becomming more and more like the other three, except for this business of hair colour, but the Hizb. will take care also of that.
OK Is. and the USA are the enemies of every thing and every body, but why Leb.? should not others as poor, miserable, resources less as they are bear their share?
