It is brital and unacceptable to see those ethiopians being enslaved, killed and beaten. amon the comments I read it is sad to read when one of the commentators judge that this womens deserve that and he continued explaining his anger about what happened in somalia and related the issue to that. Sad and it is flat wrong. I was reading several comments written about Ethiopians in Lebanon.

It is brital and unacceptable to see those ethiopians being enslaved, killed and beaten.

We mistreat and underpay them, but our abuses do not stop there. We treat the refugee communities in Lebanon, be they Palestinian or others with disdain and disregard to their human rights and rights as refugees. What is just as bad is that we institutionalize and legalize discrimination against women by granting their (male) "guardians" the right to veto their travel and by refusing their husbands and children the right to citizenship. The list goes on and on. It is simply sad that not only do we not uphold the laws that we do have but we have neglected the need to modernize our legal system to take into consideration the most basic of human rights. We squabble and discriminate and excel at being petty and vain. Shame on us.
