2- Israel or the US
3- Preparation to a civil war.

it is still too late to understand the motive of this assassination.

I do not agree with the “Yom Kippur” theory. I think one of the dumbest moves of Iran is to attack Israel by military means. The move is worse for Syria. Both of these countries might have a defensive arsenal. I do not think offense is their specialty, especially facing Israel/US air force power.

Here is the list:
- Carlos was forced to leave Syria and the CIA was tipped. Carlos was arrested in Sudan. By the way, Syria denied that he is in Syria for years.
- Abdullah Oscllan was forced to leave and later was arrested in Kenya.
- The Japanese Red Army group was arrested in Bekaa Valley after they were forced to leave Syria.
Domestically, a Syrian minister was jailed and later he committed suicide with 2 shots in his head!
