A few more days and I’ll be out of Lebanon and hopefully the postings will be back to normal. I hate to make excuses but I can’t believe how difficult it is to get a decent temporary internet connection here.
Anyway, Happy hollidays to all and thanks again for baring with me. I’ll leave you now with some posters I found in Tripoli..

Hello, my name is Mustapha and I've been blogging about Lebanese society, business and politics since February 2005.
May peace be on all victims that died defending Lebanon.
The main problem is not Syria, it is the Lebanese who prostitute themselves, politically speaking, to serve Syrians.
In a smart way, Syria runs a paying terror and blackmail business. Syria find in opportunist people like Aoun, a great gift that will help its plan to divide and rule. Al Qaida and all other Palestinian groups have the franchise to do the dirty job on the ground. Logistic support is provided by Syrians and intelligences supports (time, place…) is provided by Hizbiran.
As for Hizbiran, these guys have their own plan where Lebanon is an extension of the holy shit pax irana.
As for March 14th, they have the good intentions to build the Lebanese State, that does not really exist yet!
However, they fail on the ground in imposing the respect they deserve. Their supporters are leaving Lebanon in large number. Their leaders dream too much about Bush invading Syria. Too much of wishful thinking… Instead, Jumblatt Hariri and Geagea should think more on the ground to strengthen their position.
I think we were too late in reconciling our differences and restating our common points of interest once and for all.
There was never any reconciliatory attempt in Lebanon in the full sense of the word. The closest attempt was the Patriarch’s visit to the Chouf mountains and the common declaration.
I think the reason Rafiq Hariri was Murdered was because he tried to activate this reconciliatory movement, which would have become a true disaster to the whole sub-region; does anyone (Syria, Israel, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc.) want Lebanon to be a living proof of the peaceful coexistence of 18 different sects in one tiny country? No.
I think the FPMers (not the politicians, but the followers) have a historic decision to make today; Michel Aoun cannot be a president, for the same reason why Geagea cannot be one. That’s it, end of story. Do not obstinate and tie your argument to pathetic Muslim-related conspiracy theories and foolish excuses. You will only lose your way in the same way the Palestinians did long ago, which made them lose their country over and over again and, eventually, their cause.
Don’t do that to Lebanon…
While were all waiting for Mus to start regular posting I thought some of you would find this video clip from linktv mosaic program interesting in the mean while. Jamal Dajani has an interesting take on the recent bombings in lebanon and algeria. Have a look and see what you think http://www.linktv.org/video/2091
Happy Adha & Merry Christmas to you too Mustapha
What the fuck is wrong with you, are you stupid or just playing one. Do you know what that fucking poster means and symbolizes, do you even now anything about that “massacre”. You idiot, that’s sectarian propaganda, it had nothing to do with the Syrians, it’s the war between jabal mi7ssin and Tibeneh (you know where that is, don’t you “Guy from Tripoli”) and by the way the only people that the Syrians fought in Tripoli were the Taw7id, your enemy today.
How long have you stayed in Tripoli this time, didn’t you notice the “Afwej Trablus” activities, why didn’t i see why you blog on that, or are you waiting until they clash with someone to act surprise….
BTW i congratulate you on your logo’s choice, it really symbolizes what this blog is all about…BS. Cause that’s all you do here, right? Make BS posts about your BS ideas, I mean don’t get me wrong, I like this blog, damn it, i have this blog bookmarked on my CELLPHONE, occasionally you blog about some decent things, but then you go and ruin it with BS articles like this one.
