Notes, Call For Input.

Miscalleneous

I will be traveling this evening to Washington DC to attend a conference. The next post on this blog will hopefully be on Saturday.

Some things on my mind:

  • I would like to thank the Center For Strategic And International Studies for inviting me to the conference. I really appreciate it.

  • The conference aims to “develop a shared international agenda for protecting civilians from terrorist violence.” So in the spirit of sharing, if any of you has ideas on the subject, you’re more than welcome to contribute in the comments section. Your ideas could be discussed in the workshop

  • If any of you lives in the DC Area (according to my stats, there’s around 40 of you), It would be nice to meet up. Just send me an email and we can arrange something.

  • In case you read this blog and like it, why don’t you subscribe to my RSS feed so that you can be noticed whenever a new post is online? If you don’t know how this works, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments section.

Wish me a good trip :)

Mustapha – Im going to give you the key to peace in the middle east

    Its actually quite simple..

    1) The Arabs welcome Israel home – and genuinly mean it – they make it a point to invite them to arab leage meetings and such – and treat them as real family

    after this happens…

    2) Israel, seeing that she has finally been accepted home, welcomes the palestinains to come home and join her in building the “New Jerusalem”. The New Jerusalem will be the center of the world, and she will morph into a country rather than a city (rememeber – she has always been a city – not a country)

    after this happens…

    3) Jerusalem will be the “washington” of a new middle east that will morph from an “arab league” into a “Union of Abrahamic States” stretching from algeria to china

    Terrorism ??

Terorism has always been a byproduct of a lack of imagination in problem solving

Speak up on behalf of the people of Lebanon, not any political ideology. But I guess you already know that.

Best of luck & safe trip

All the best Mostafa. I was invited to the conference as well but I couldn’t make it. I hope you get some free time to roam in the DC area as it has some nice places.

Enjoy the trip Mustapha, and tell us all about it when you get back! Speak your mind and tell people what Lebanon needs, not what they want to hear. If you can find the time, go down to the National Mall and visit some of the museums–it’s free and there are great displays from all over the world.

    Meh, now I’m homesick…
