According to the FPM’s website, “The opposition did not publicly endorse Berri’s initiative”.

Read this strange reading of Berri’s initiative, or “initiative” (with quotation marks) as tayyar.org likes to refer to it. Apparently, according to their reading, Mr. Berri never said he was giving up the national unity government, he was simply trying to find a middle way to appease as much international players as possible.

In a different section of the website, Mr. Aoun tells dozens of people from Qobeiyat (pic) -whom the website referred to as a “huge crowd”- That he doesn’t want a President who is related to what he termed “international corruption”.

But he did say one correct thing: “The moment of truth is coming soon”
