Fatah Al Islam’s Options

Plain Talking

Now that the women and children have been evacuated from the camp, the remaining members of Fateh Al Islam have a tough choice to make.

The Army played their cards well. A combination of carrots (promises of fair trials + sparing the women and children) and sticks (420kg bombs) have convinced the remaining dead-enders who most probably had a hand in massacring the soldiers 3 months ago that they have a limited choice: Being executed, being bombed or suicide bombing.

The Army should find a way to convince them that these are not their only options, or they’ll all choose the last one and take the lives of dozens of Lebanese soldiers along with them. (Now that their hands are not tied by their families anymore)

Perhaps promises of “leniency in return for cooperation” would send the wrong signals, but they could be worth it if they save the lives of our young soldiers.

  1. 1) All talks should have ended weeks ago. With their families out these murderers are now MORE dangerous.

    2) Why are the 100-plus Fatah Islam animals being charged in civilian court? What the hell is military court for??

    3) The criminal fucking moron MPs who argued and voted for amnesty for the Denniyeh Islamists (along with Geagea then) need to be prosecuted and shot.

  2. I find it hard to believe, that this evacuation
isn’t part of a broader deal with FAI.

In any case, the Leb. authorities should
    now treat the families well.
As a massage to all: leave the young,
the women and the old out of the bloody game.

  3. The irony is, those guys and their masters have had far less pity for our women and children than our army is showing for theirs.

The worse irony is that them, or others like them, may well be back.

  4. I thoght that the penalty for higher treason commited during troubled times, instigated by foreign figures to serve foreign interests, terrorism, slaying of innocent bystanders; would be enough to guarantee a sure bullet in the back of the head, with or without the presence of a court, civil or martial.

Actualy come to think of it: standing in front of a firing squad is a penelty reserved for those that have faught valiantly yet failed, these butchers IN NO WAY DESERVE SUCH HONORS!

I can’t help but wonder why Martial Law is not in effect and why even bother with putting those goons on trial, and why are they not when they surrender as well as why the whole camp is not burning with Napalm and all life in it extinguished, and just the thought of those militants surrendering and passing into the hands of our corrupt authorities makes me shiver.

Because I WILL BE EXTREMELY INFURIATED IF ANYONE OF THEM WILL GET AMNESTY OR IS DEPORTED OR SMUGLED ACROSS THE BORDER, THROUGH A LESS THAN HOLLY DEAL MADE BETWEEN LESS THAN HOLLY PARTNERS!

That would be the day where I rip my Passport to shreds and shit on the Lebanese flag!
