Palestinian “Peaceful Demonstrations”

Plain Talking

The question is: Why would demonstrators who “simply want to go home” cut off a main road with burning tires?

**Update**
Albalad is speaking of a third party that joined the demo and started shooting at the army.

Definitely, I don’t think that the soldiers would have shot if they did not feel threatened.

    Hey!

Who Do they think they are, Burning Tires In OUR Country?

Who’s going to clean their mess up?

Why Do Palestinians keep causing trouble everywhere in the world, from Jordan to Lebanon and among Palestinians themselves.

Those retched trouble makers, ought to be quiet and stay put, if not help the Army fight Fatah al-Islam if they want to get back to their camp instead of polluting OUR country!

Who Do they think they are, Burning Tires In OUR Country?

At a demo in England recently a Muslim immigrant snapped at a “native” Brit, “Who says this is your country, anyway?”

People burn tires to demonstrate that they control territory. It doesn’t belong to you or your country anymore but to them. So by burning the tires the protestors are saying, “Let us back in, or we’ll conquer this plot right here for ourselves, no matter how much that inconveniences you.”

Too many words, right? Burning tires is a much more concise and effective statement.

    The answer is simple…(Why?)

When Palis riot – palis get money..” a day of rage” they call it

From the EU mostly – and of course the gulf emirates

    One truism about the palis..

They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity

It is mental and moral abdication to go on trying to justify why and how we defend ourselves. It’s either we are free to exercise our national prerogatives AS and WHEN we see fit and AS we please, or we pack up and leave this land to the low-lives currently infesting it!

whoo-hoo!!! burning tires!!! that does soooo much good. f-ing morons. thats like the wto protesters that go around bashing in all the store front windows while proclaiming how horrible globalization is, then get in their foreign made car and go to the local shopping mall and buy products made in china. yes…tires…burn more tires so you can pollute your own air (wait its not even your own…i mean wait, it is your own cause you have usurped it from lebanon), then later, complain and sue the lebanese government because you have cancer and your kids have aesthma from all the toxic fumes from all the tires you burned for the “resistance”. get a clue and go read a book instead. oh wait…you probably burned all the books already because the clerics told you to, thats why you went to burning tires (cause they’re everywhere) . insane.

Burning tires falls in the category of illegal and “akl khara”.

Make it CLEAR that tire-burners will shot on sight, and I garantee no one will get killed.

PS When Aoun and Hezbo and other legal idiots tell us that blocking roads is democratic speech and lawful, and the authorities keep mum, it does not help.

The picture shows 8 and 12 year-old boys, get a grip of yourselves and realize who you are shooting or shouting at.

Lira, ain’t my fucking problem if your culture of scummy cowards finds it morally justifiable to take cover behind 8 and 12 year old punks. When it comes to defending my country against scourge like you (w kéll miin bi shidd 3a mshaddkun) THOSE are our rules of engagement sistah; shoot on sight! Unhappy with the way we play the game? Fine, no one is forcing you to stay! Gather up your litter and beat it, ya bum! And when your Syrian and other Arab friends begin treating your blessed innocent Palestinians better than we, ONLY THEN can you start pontificating! Until that happy day eventuates, you have the right to just shut it!!

    Lira, like LNH said plus,

Don’t these little fucks have parents and/or people like you who care?

Tell them not to go play in the street with a war going.

You cannot blame the Palestinians for hiding behind children.

In the history of contemporary warfare, it is proven spectacularly effective.

You cannot blame the Palestinians for hiding behind children…. it is proven spectacularly effective.

You know why? Cuz no one’s threatened them or shot at them.

Why do you think the Hama Islamists did not bother sending 12 year-olds to face Assad’s army?

Answer: no media, and Assad would not give a shit anyway.

You want a PC war? You die.

Palestinian children do periodically get shot at, sometimes fatally, but that just helps the cause.

Sacrificing ones own people in order to generate rage against your enemy is, quite simply, a military tactic the Palistinians have perfected.

“Sacrificing ones own people in order to generate rage against your enemy is, quite simply, a military tactic the Palistinians have perfected.”

i think that applies to the whole arab/muslim extremists world. i like to call it “martyr-DUMB”. i am glad to hear on this and other M.E. blogs, that people are starting to get sick and tired of all the crap the islamo-fascists have been and are doing. keep it going.

  17.

    Louis, first tone it down.

Secondly, “my culture”? If you’re interested in my culture, you could ask me about it and I would tell you.

Wait, I just read the rest of your crap reply and realized that you were not interested in communicating with me.

I’m a “he” by the way and I am Lebanese like you, furthermore we might be of the same religion, if not same sect – How do those prejudicial comments of yours look now?

As for JoseyWales, those “fucks” are human beings, their parents are accountable – not them, plus we’re all accountable as well, as society at large.

Mustapha – You really need to put a lid on such characters, they pollute anotherwise respected blog.

    Lira,

The situation calls for strong words. They are also needed to get through to people like you, though you keep missing the point.

These people are “human beings” is a useless view. A murderer coming at you with a knife, 12 or not, is also a “human being”. Should you not defend yourself?

You want to be stuck in cliches of “human beings” and “victims” to justify doing nothing in the face of constant aggression on the real innocent and the nation.

That’s the “culture” that Lou is talking about, not what classics you read in school. That’s lost on you too, so much for communication.

And I don’t know what your community has to do with any of this. You’re again missing the point and misunderstanding “culture.”

PS As to Mustapha, I think he knows the difference between the occasional strong words and filthy inane rants.

Josey, the situation calls for strong action, not “strong” words.

I wonder what words like shit and fuck can do in such situations.

What is the Lebanese state doing in order to prevent civil strafe between the Lebanese and Palestinians?

One looks for answers in oneself first instead of blaming others, that’s an unsuccessful strategy in my opinion.

Finally, do I sound like a “cliche person”? I am here debating with you this topic, is it cliche as well?

Take it easy on the labeling

    Cheers

  20.

Josey, the situation calls for strong action,

Yes and action number one is to implement the law by stopping armed thugs tire-burners etc regardless of age.

What is the Lebanese state doing in order to prevent civil strafe..

It is fianlly shooting at law breaking criminals. Right now these guys are in the street in a war situation and breaking the law. People hiding in their midst assaulted the national army and cut the throats of 17 soldiers before this baloney started.

There’s tire burning after 20 years of peace and there’s tire burning after 80 solders were killed. Do you understand CONTEXT?

You want the (lousy and failed) Lebanese gvmnt to do what? Improve the camp work conditions or rights? Discuss things nicely with “them”? We tried that the last 30 years and it failed. That’s not the top issue anymore and not a Lebanese priority.

You want action? Fine we need to apply the law by force. What’s your answer? Negotiate with Fatah el Islam?

Finally re “cliches’ I was referring to the broad culture that you seem to espouse: “victims’ and “human being” arguments that take us nowhere.

The Palestinians were let loose on Leb cuz they were poor “victims”, and now you want to let loose these 12 year olds because they are minors. The result is Lebanon is getting killed (and your Pali friends keep getting nothing but death and destruction). What’s the point?

We are dealing with murderous Assad and/or fanatical head-choppers and you want to do what: talk, discuss, invite Amnesty International, and Amr Moussa??

Unless you were born yesterday, you can’t seriously believe we can restore security like that.
