Thanks Charles for the defense, but don't worry Merhi, I'm not making money out of this.

I have rounded up the prices of the items simply to have enough proceeds to cover the cost of the shop itself (which is not for free),

So in a way, it's a service that pays for itself. It doesn't pay me..

Merhi,

Mustapha deserves any proceeds made from the sale of t-shirts. He's providing a service. He's spent countless hours designing shirts, banners, logos, redeveloping this site, and publishing his thoughts on issues.

Given the services he provides, he deserves a lot more than a buck or two from a t-shirt. We're willing to pay 2,000LL a day for paper, but we won't pay Mustapha $5 for years of work?

Mustapha,

The Syrians were killing Shia before they laid a hand on anyone else. Give them credit, they were not prejudiced.

Ali,

Your arguments apply to both sides of the fence.

Delusional and devoid from reality? Why on earth did hassan Nassrallah drag his people with him on March 8 to thank the very party everyone else was blaming for killing us?

How would it feel if March 14 made a demo after the July war to thank Israel for killing the Shias?

When people in the north were being slaughtered by the Syrians in the 80s, Nassrallah couldn't care less about what "people on the street" think, so please stop giving me crap...

So I am now either a collaborator or an idiot for suggesting that others may have a hand in trying to ferment Lebanese-Lebanese violence?

I said above," ..you have...found evidence that Syrians are behind all the bombings and the killings." I did not say that Syria is not behind any killings, but neither do I have any evidence to prove that. I was merely suggesting that there are regional and international players who continue to benefit from the festering political strife in this little country of ours, and think sometimes that your discourse can be elevated a tidbit to become a little more complex, nuanced, real, and historically and politically informed.

But you continue to live, at least in this blog, the fairy-tale of a simple-minded evangelically-inspired story of "we are good, they are evil," not unlike the Chief kook in the White House today whose destructive designs for the ME have brought nothing but death and misery to countless millions and on whose bad graces and worthless words you continue to hang your hopes and dreams.

However you spin it, and whether you have the upper hand, politically, now or not, you cannot get rid of half of the country. This embattled army of ours is a case in point. It would take a single call from Nasrallah, Berri and Aoun, and the army would be no more. That's how pathetic this nation of ours is. You want to claim this army for the government, but in reality, when push comes to shove, each soldier belongs to his or her own sect in the end.

Lebanon is made up of all these fragile pieces, yet your camp wants to keep pushing their singular agenda down the other half’s throat. Again, you think you have the clout now, but towards what end? Where exactly are you going with all this? Do you think that the Hezb in the end will just hand its weapons, and Aoun will just kiss Ja’ja’s hands and beg for mercy?

I did not mean for this to be this long, but you continue to harp on such nonsense, it makes me wonder in which reality you live. Your typical chorus of like-minded supporters, exploiters, is not helping your situation either. So step out of your delusions and look at the real world around you. Take a trip to the other camps’ areas and talk to their people, and you will see how your excited and provincial ideas find little place in their lives. Cyberspace is not reality. You can live any dream on the net. The real world can be quite different.

Hey folks,
In my point of view we're ALL clients of the assadian corporation. Our fellow lebs: shia, sunni, maronites, druzes, devil worshipers, etc;
AND also the syrian commoners - that like us are clients and like us are NOT happy.
Our contract was void'ed some time ago! time to notify the 'street redecorator' - as (very damn) well our divine local *subcontractors*
