AYESH LUBNAN:

well said! As an american I agree that the time has come to seriously invest training and capitol in a positive future for the lebanese army as well as its people. From my standpoint there is no other country in region who desire or deserve freedom and stability more than lebanon. I think it's interesting that even lahhoud has come to the realazation that this cannot be acomplished through damascus!

Mustapha,

And Assad told D'Alema, Pelosi, Solana, God, Satan and many others that he's innocent and will cooperate.

Words mean nothing in the Middle East these days. The days of chivalry and true honor are over. Only the weak and corrupt survive.

Ghassan,

I don't know about the secret negotiating but I feel somewhat confident that someone has sent this crow a message...if you try something stupid after your term expires...you won't have to fear Syrian agents killing you...

I truly hope he gets the message

and yes GOD WILL protect Lebanon and GOD will strengthen our army by giving us the ability to reason that now is the time to go to the US and EU for arms and training...i think the time is now to call for an all volunteer, highly trained and highly armed mobile army...with lots and lots of special forces type brigades (i mean really hardcore guys really well trained not just pretty boys wearing berets)...war in the middle east is no longer going to fought along clear lines of combat...asymetrical warfare I think it is called is comming and we have to be ready because the threat is not going to be israel...

I think he recognizes that the Army will not protect him this time if he declares a second government. Or the Syrian are secretly negotiating with Israel and don't want to spoil the talks.

The next 6-week period will be tense! May God protect Lebanon and strengthen our Army!
