Scandal: Video of Opposition News Anchor Gloating At The Death Of Walid Eido.

Plain Talking

The News anchor didn’t notice she left the mic on: “What took them so long to kill him?” she asked her “hajj” co-worker as they both giggled.
According to March14’s website, she also said “I wonder if Ahmad Fatfat is next” and “How many are left before we get rid of the majority?”, but that was not evident from the video.

Unfortunately, her schadenfreude is secretely shared by many pro-Syrian opposition members who are all too happy their opponents are being eliminated one by one. Shame on them.

Unless Nabih Berri, the owner of the TV station (and supposedly a “moderate” in the March 8 opposition) immediately dismisses her, we will all conclude that his position is the same as hers.

** Update **
Sawsan Al-Abtah Darwish was Fired According to NBN:

In a statement, the station said it had fired the anchor and colleague and apologized for “an unintentional mistake.” The statement said, “the comments made do not represent the station in any way.

The NBN’s representative also said: “firing of the anchor should be enough to quell any outrage her comments caused.”

Is it enough?

  1.

I read somewhere that she has been dismissed.

Unfortunately, I think you’re right about the schadenfreude…

  2.

of course she will be dismissed, they can’t not fire her…
but I mean what did you expect… do you really think we genuinely like each other in Lebanon?

This is worse than shame, Mus, worse than tragic.

I just heard in the news that NBN issued a statment to all media condemning the irresponsible act of the employees and have taken drastic actions, fired, those (in plural) responsible.

  7.

What else would you expect? How can’t they be “happy” when they see their political rivals loosing their “majority” one by one?

I’m sick and tired of the amount of hate in this country, and how people had lost all manners, and they are ok and even more than ok to show their “blindness hate”.

God Bless this country, it’s being eaten from inside…..

    This bitch has not heard:

    -of human decency

-that her coward Boss Berri is taking most of his positions for fear of ending up like Eido

-that even Hassan Nasrallah would end up blown to pieces, the second he would disagree with Syria.

The opposition has shown their true colors, finally. To all lovers of the Syrian regime, the Iranian regime, Nabih Berri’s Assassination Amal movement and Hizb Iran wa bilad fares this anchor represents your deepest thoughts and it always will….

this woman is marked. she said stupid things that will haunt her for the rest of her life. some idiot is going to do something to her. i’m afraid that getting fired (if indeed she was fired) is going to be the least of her worries.

something like this was bound to happen sooner or later.

what she did is really disgusting, and as an opposition, that’s the WORST way I would want my political differences with my oponents to be ended.
but what I’ve read here, is WAAAAAAAAAY worse than what she did.
if a common person says that, it means sayyid 7asan and all the opposition feel that way???!!
ya3neh if any commoner curses (like they usually do) at sayyid, it means all the leaders have that morality or mentality?

It is amazing how Hizbollah and the so-called “opposition” seem to thrive on all the destruction that is going on in beautiful Lebanon. Being agents and servants to both Iran and Syria, they are definitely nothing but puppets to these two hideous regimes. How very sad!

  22.

Isn’t it about time that the 3 sole democratic countries in the ME (Israel, Jordan & Lebanon) team up and protect themselves against the murderous gangs of Hamas, Hizbollah, Al-Qaida, Syria and Iran?

We can do it: let bygones be bygones.

We can deliver the world know-how and expertise in medicine, the sciences, economy and so much more, instead of being the region of inflaming speeches, incitements to kill and maim, and fanatics with RPG’s and Kalachnikovs.

With our unique histories and scenery we could be the hot spot for tourists instead of bombings and kidnappings.

You guys up North: stop being the underdog! Stand up for your land.
Intelligence, respect and hope will eventually prevail over stupidity and self-destruction.

Is the division between those pro-HA, pro-Syria and those anti-Syria that strong and evident? This woman should be ashamed of herself but if she is merely representing a large part of the population that is even more horrific.

We don’t want another civil war. I don’t wish death to anybody & hope that Berri wakes up & stands to Nasrallah.

why doesn’t the pro syrian move to syria, pro iranian to iran and we’ve solved the lebanese conflict.that cunt’s loved ones should be killed the same way eido had been killed just to see if she’ll be laughing about somebody else’s misfortune then.i wish nabih and abou foustan nasrallah the same destiny ,i’m wondering if she’ll have the same reaction.

If you plan on sitting and waiting for Nabih Berri, HA, Aoun, and Syria to become your friends… good luck. The elected majority of Lebanon has been waiting patiently… and all they receive are bombs and threats. People who want to kill you are not reasonable. When will we stand up and defend our country from these killers and their accomplices? Or maybe we should wait until they kill us all?

This Anchor and all the people who share with her same ideas and reactions are causing irresversible damage to the lebanese society and the upcoming generations. Lebanese blame Israel and USA for crimes against humanity, for being indifferent toward the killing of innocent people in Lebanon, Palestine and Irak but unfortunately many of them feel joy when political rivals get physically elliminated with a bunch of innocent people :(, isnt it the same, isnt it the reaction of Israele to Kana Massacre !?!? it is soo sad to see how low the lebanese society and the lebanese values are getting !
